Hello All!

I help out in a church where we record the message and send out DVD to our pastors accross the nation and other people who can't make it to church. Howerver this is becoming quite expensive.

We edit the message on adobe premier and make our DVD on Encore DVD howerver we are thinking of deploying the DVDs over the internet. Now we can't give out our copy of Encore DVD.

I am looking for a solution, a software that will allow us to import the menu and the mpeg or whatever format of video it would support and make the DVD.

We also have wmv's available for stream and download, howerver many pastors accross the world download the message and put it on their TV's so it needs to be a DVD.

So, the end user will install the program, they would download the mpeg/dvd menu files from our website and burn their dvd.

What software does this in a inexpensive way? Everything we do is FREE and we wouldn't want to start charging now, maybe if the end user had to pay for the software but an inexpensive one...

Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you and You are Blessed,
chilian

As far as burning a DVD from a collection of files or an ISO image, then free software, 'ImgBurn' can handle that.

Your problem is the huge size of movie vob files.
Even a short DVD, say thirty minutes, will be over 1GB.
That size of file will take a very long time to upload from your non business internet connection.
I doubt that it can be sent as email because of the size, not to mention the recipient losing the use of their PC for a time while it downloads.

Thank you for your response! Now I am wondering, can I CREATE an ISO with the DVD menu and all?

Can an ISO be burnt with any software? Let?s say I create an ISO with Encore, which I do not think it?s possible, anyhow can someone else burn the ISO with let?s say NERO and it will have the MENU and such?

I will check out that program?

In regards of your question, we do not use vob files, we use mpeg right now, and we have developed a system where the user can download the .rar files using software like a p2p, but can only download from us. It?s pretty cool so we don?t have many problems. Also, we have a line straight to our server on a datacenter so the upload to the server takes less then an hour. Thank you for your response and concern.

Attar you are the best!!!

Thank you so muchhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

Reading, which is the key to learning I found out that Encore DVD did do images (I didn?t know ISO were called images)? Then I went ahead and burnt my DVD with ImgBurn and that was it!! It worked as I wanted it.

Again, thank you for the fast and excellent response!

I will def. come back to this forum more often now.

You are blessed,
chilian
