3.2 is the version you want to use.

When you open Shrink at the top on the tool bar is Help. In that you will find Guides which includes the 2 links above. One thing to remember nowadays when using Shrink is that you will often need decryption software to process DVD files before opening them in Shrink.

Hello

thank you for your reply. I have already resinstalled the version 3.2. Did a clean install but dvdshrinl would still not run. Do you think that having multiple burning programs on the computer could affect that? Could it also be that nero essentials is not enough to run dvdshrink? Thanks in advance for your reply

If you're expecting Nero Essentials to do the burning, then it may be a problem. Shrink calls on the burning rom in Nero at a specific location written into Shrink. If the burning rom isn't at the called location, no burn. Is Shrink going through the transcoding process and stopping when it comes to the burn process? If that's the case, you can save the Shrink output to the hard drive and burn manually. It's either that or use one of the other supported burners, including the full Nero 6 and 7 (Nero 8 isn't a supported burner, though it will burn manually). You can get what you need from DVDPlusVideo.com to use ImgBurn as a supported burner.
