I have EvolutionX installed and am trying to connect my PC to xbox with Flash FXP.

The only problem is for the Xbox (using crossover cable) I am setting the IP address as 192.168.16.2 as it says on the settings dashboard. However above that in the blue text it has IP address as 0.0. etc.

Is this why I cant connect and how do I solve it. I've looked through countless tutorials and have had no luck.

Do I also need to set the PC's IP address to a fixed one and should I do this through Network connections on my Cable modem?

your evox seems to be on dynamic ip config

scroll down on that menu with blue background
till you find the static ip settings and change it to static = yes
then scroll some more and click save & exit

thats if evox is already installed on your xbox

if it ask you what ip
just write

192.168.0.2

your pc can be
192.168.0.1 , 192.168.0.3 ,.. ,.. , etc but never the same ip as your xbox

if you are loading evox for first time
from the disc
the ip config changes has to be made on the evox.ini
before burning

Managed to solve it now. I've been recommended to use craxtion to make the ISO file. Is this the best one to use for new games which have patches?

Hi WelshBoa, can you (or anyone else) explain how you fix this problem? I've got the same bug on my side...

Believe it or not it was Zone Alarm that was running. The reason I didnt suspect this to start with is it normally asks you whether you want to permit something or not and it didnt.

Soon as I turned it off though (firewall) it worked.

Best of luck - thats the easy part!!

Thanks walshboa, I was using the secure remote client to work remote from home. This programed is loaded by windows at bootup. Even if I quit the program once it's loaded, the FTP connection doesn't complete properly (the xbox is not able to talk to my PC). So I completly remove the remote client...
