yesterday i downgraded my 3.51 psp to 1.50 to attemp to apply custom firmware. I used sicdude's guide to attempt. everything was fine up to the point when i was to run the 3.52 creator, at which point it said the 150.pbp would not open. after messing with it for a bout 30 minutes, I deleted everything and started over. now I get this application doesn't apply ro this firmware when I tried to run the kxploitpatcher over again. I'm at wits' end. Can some one help out a lost soul. thanks 4 any help!!!

hate to be a pain, do u have a link? just finished watching a how to on youtube, did everything just like the guy did. is there a possibility that one of sicdude's links is bad.( the 1.50 official update) to be exact. that's where my problem began

I remeber downloading the easy installer for 1.50 for my little brother once from http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/ . Unfortuntely, I cant get a direct link because my place of work is high scurity and blocks out most of the pages.

If you named the file 150.PBP rename it 150 and vice versa. If that doesn't work try getting a different file.

If you have already ran it your don't need to run it again. Its probably giving you that error because it has already done it and doesn't need to be done again.

Also do as Ganon007 has suggested. Rename the 150.PBP and 352.PBP files to just 150 and 352 without the .PBP at the end.

Sometimes the extension can be hidden on PC's and renaming a file to 150.PBP when this is the case actually renames the file to 150.PBP.PBP which is why the M33CREATOR can't open the 150 file.

ex hoc, ganon007, larrylje thanks for ur replies dudes. unfortunately I still get nada, still the same response, i even got the programs from another source. Could it be that since the kxploitpatcher program originally went through, that I might have to delete that totally from the psp system. If so how would I go about doing that correctly? do any of u have the answer to that. Again thanks for the help no matter the outcome!

Go HERE and download this file and extract it (All needed files are included and are placed in the correct place).

Format your PSP Memory Stick and drag the M33CREATOR folder from the above download to /PSP/GAME folder.

Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the M33CREATOR (Don't worry about the permanent patcher stuff).

Yeah you might want to backup any files (MUSIC/GAME SAVES) to the PC before formating. Then just add them back after you have updated.

In USB mode, copy anything that you want to keep. Then when you upgrade go back to USB mode and put the files back.

You evidently access the Memory Stick when trying to upgrade to 3.52 M33 so do the same but drag the files from the PSP Memory Stick back to the PC.

The file isn't corrupt. There are 100's of people that have used the file and extracted it perfectly fine so your doing something wrong. Matter of fact it has over 500 downloads and haven't had a complaint yet.

Right click on the file and try using Windows to extract it. Right click and go to open with and choose the folder icon that has a zipper on it (compressed zipped folders).

Go to your system settings then system information and tell us what your system software says.
