Hey I know there are probably instructions on how to use roms on a modded wii but I can't seem to find them easily. Can somebody re-direct me to a thread or something with alittle help?
There is an snes emu disc floating around in the torrent. world which plays on the wiis gamecube which means you'll need a gamecube controller, the only "roms" you can play on the wii for now are the ones on the virtual console in which you'll need the classic controller for some
I managed to find a pre-made disc w/ giant batches of games for the following systems:
SNES
NES
Genesis
TG-16
So yea basically everything on the virtual console and more (other than n64/neogeo). Only trouble is, it's just a giant gamecube disc, so you need a GC Controller to play it. Still fun as hell though.
The only part of the Wii that has been hacked is the drive. Meaning that the only reason you can play backups on the Wii is because the drive is being fooled into reading a backup, not the system. The actual system itself hasn't been hacked yet, so if you do find emu discs for the Wii they will actually be Gamecube isos.
correct, and I do believe I stated that it was a giant gamecube disc. However, an emulator DVD of that size with all those roms would be impossible to play on the gamecube due to the 1.3GB size restriction of Mini-DVD's, so technically it is a Wii-Emulator, even if it is only pseudo-wii.
