I have a bricked Hitachi 0078FK drive and I'm looking for someone in the Tampa Bay area and surrounding areas to help me fix it, of course I'd pay you and come to you to drop it off/pick up. I'm a genuine newbie, so ANY help, even tutorials that are up-to-date would be of massive help. I've been looking everywhere, but have found only out-of-date tutorials and they have been so vague and/or not much help due to the fact that I do not know how to solder, again, the whole newbie thing.
So, thanks for reading, and any and all comments would be much help and I'd appreciate it!

hey I would look into sending it to online places to fix it, instead of seeking help from strangers on a message board. I got my 360 modded at www.uexboxmods.com snd they do great work and also fix consoles.

Exactly how is it bricked? I have tons of experience in fixing broken drives so what happened to it?

PS2Menace has fixed a ton of people's 360s, know like 3 people's so you can't go wrong with him, xbox360 girl

Just whoever you send it to, make sure you pay only via money order and send it traceable so if they don't return it, you can file a mail fraud claim against them. That's what I did when I sent my 360 to be modded.

I'd rather use PAYPAL but it doesn't really matter to me since I'm not going to steal anyone's stuff. Karma is too much of a b*tch and not a way to go about teaching my 2 very aware children :)

Nah guys, I didn't mean it that way, sure PS2Menace is very trustworthy, I just meant whoever she goes to in general. Because whereas Paypal will close the receiving person's account down (if they don't send back the 360), paying with money order and not receving it is a federal mail fraud claim.

I think the reason why she is asking here on the forums is she is hoping to get it done by someone for free. "Xbox360 Girl Needs Help!" Funny she made sure she stated she was a girl. Only reason I can think that was stated is for special treatment. Go ahead and deny it thats fine. I know how you women are lol. I Don't blame ya. I could be wrong...am I?

Severeth, you are completely wrong. Don't get ME wrong, women can be manipulating, but not me, not this time. It was intentionally stated in my subject line that I'm a girl, but simply because it gets more attention (from my own experiences, as well as normally the bigger the boobs, the better the treatment, men might not notice, but it happens, trust me), more answers hopefully to my question. And by no means at all do I expect anything for free, especially only based on the fact that I'm a girl. It is kind of shitty anyone would make that assumption, but I could see why so no worries.
But, for the record, I expect nothing for free.
