xbox modding failed!?

Ok, first of all, sorry bout my english, I'm from croatia heh. So, yesterday I gave my x360 to the place where they put mod chips on it...(xtreme), and the guy called me now and said that it is impossible to modd my xbox because it is one of the earliest editions of that console (the manufacturing date is 27/07/2007). I's xbox premium. What's up with that? Can someone tell me if this isn't a correct reason...what reason could it be for them not to modd my x360...they do it all the time successfully:((

every 360 drive can be flashed, skip the whole modchip thing. First get your Xbox back and find out what DVD drive it has. Only one that i know of (one of the Hitachi brands) is a real pain. The rest should be easy to flash.
