hello i have several dvd's that had put labels on and now I want to remove them because a few are giving problems during playback. Can any one give any ideas on how to remove them Thanks

best thing to do is not to use papersticky labels, they
will make your disks out of balance...........so that
you have problems such as the problem you are having now.........


use a Sharpie Fine Tip Marker your problems in playback may
disappear...................

you can try fingernail polish remover, its pretty strong
stuff.......................

Yeah, strong enough to dissolve the DVD. I would use something milder like Isopropyl Alcohol.

My advice,before you completly trash the disks getting the labels off,is just make new copies

To title my dvds I use a Casio thermal disc printer model CW-75
Frist I thermal print my disc then burn, no probs. BTW don't use nail polish remover, just melts the discs, and make new back ups as suggested (save your sorrows)

Thanks for the info. I am using sharpies now for all my backups, but I have a few with labels that I am going to replace with others some play just fine others freeze and skip
