Hello everyone I'm new to the forums and also to the psp homebrew world.
Ok here's the problem, I bought a PSP about 10 months ago and it was version 2.80 and had it like that for a while. It didn't had any problems playing UMDs and it worked fine. Then I read about homebrew, downgraders, etc. and decided to get into it.I downgraded and everything was fine.Then I went from 1.5>3.02 oe-A>3.02 oe-B till 3.03 oe-B.
It still worked fine and read UMDs. Then I went to 3.03 oe-C and starting there it stop reading UMDs. I thought the lens where dirty so I clean them, but with no success. Then I had the UMD drive replaced and still no luck. My friend told it might the No-UMD thingy but it was disabled, so he suggested to buy a new one or replace the motherboard.
What do u suggest?

This sounds like a firmware problem. Try updating to 3.52 M33, then installing the M33 update 4. This should solve your problem.

somebody told me once it might be like a semibrick that stops the functionality of the umd drive.I'll try it out and I'lllet you know the results.

Hello I have another question, the UMD drive spins and the laser make the movement to read the disk, but the laser doesn't shows any light and I heard that it was supposed to show a red light.
Does anyone knows if this means is not working or just normal stuff?

EDIT: found the problem it was the anti static point on the laser, now the thing is how to take it off.
