I just wanted to say this forum is so great. I posted a topic a while ago and I got a lot of helpful advice, thanks to everyone who posted and helped me out. And thanks to everyone who makes this forum such a helpful place. I just need a little bit of help with irc. I know how to request to download something, this is huge for me I am dumb, but when it was my turn to recieve the file it said I couldnt recieve it because I was ignoring it. I went to dcc in options then went to the subcatagory ignore. It has a box that says method: and I can choose accept only ignore only and disabled, which one do I pick? Then it has a bunch of file types in a list such as *.mp3 or *.zip so do I need to add some in here or something, and is there anything else I need to do to allow a file to be sent to me thanks again for all the help.

Many common questions can be dealt with at http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/47221 but to specifically answer your question, set it to ignore. :-)

Under DCC, click folders and disable ignore then also untick "turn back on after"

you should be ok then, I also recommend you set your client to auto accept files!
