I have tried to backup my movies onto DVD-R with no success. When I use DVD X Copy Express it starts to burn then stops after about 5 minutes with an error: "Error writing to disk". When I play the dvd to see if anything was recorded I can see the first 30 seconds of the DVD then it freezes. I read that this drive is very picky with media so I've tried the following. Princo Compusa branded DVD-R(until I read that it was low quality), Imation DVD-R(which is RitekG03), and Fuji 4X DVD-R. With all three I got the same results. I have tried firmware updates and Herrie's firmware with the same results. Any Ideas?

Download the free trials of CloneDVD and AnyDVD. Any DVD decrypts in the background while CloneDVD rips and burns your movie.

I forgot to mention, the same problem occurs with CloneDVD , DVD Decrypter and Roxio.
