When I go to my Roxio DVD LE and try to burn after using DVD shrink or DVD fab decrypter it gives me an error message that a thumbnail can't be copied. Make sure I have the right decoder. I am new to copying DVD's. Could someone HELP?
Here is another choice. DVDFAB PLATINUM, this a pay program which does it all in one program. Has a 30 day free trial. Great online support, and easy to understand tutorials.

... Insert DVD. ;)
Just kidding. Good post.
@valuit Shrink was originally written with support for using Nero (default setting), DVD Decrypter, and VSO's CopyToDVD. A lot of people aren't aware CopyToDVD is supported. The option only shows up in Shrink if the program is installed. Now there is a modified Shrink exe that supports ImgBurn instead of DVD Decrypter. ImgBurn is more or less the updated burner ware from DVD Decrypter. It's written by the same author, Lightning UK. For the cost and ease of use, I went with the updated ImgBurn. It's also supported by another program I use, RB Pro. Nero 8 doesn't autoburn with Shrink. Nero has Recode, Shrink's twin (which makes me wonder if Nero finally got around to no longer supporting the freeware clone). Enough of the history, but it gives you an idea about the app and what's available.
The Roxio itself isn't one of the favorite burner programs for doing video backups. When left installed batch writing software and/or drivers can interfere with other burner software. Some people have had to root out the infestation with Roxizap, a cleaner tool available from Roxio support.
When using DVDFab HD Decrypter check under Copying to see if the Copy Non-DVD Files selection is checked. Some DVDs have additional files which can cause burning software to give an error. Most burner programs included in suites write either Data or Video, but not usually at the same time. Normally using one of the supported burner programs you won't see such an error.
