Making a Pandora Battery Tonight for the first time

I bought the battery and have it plugged in charging before I opne it and make it a pandora battery. Its at 50% charge right now. Is that good enough or should I wait for a 100% charge? I imagine now would be fine but just want to be sure just incase.
So am I good to go or should I wait?

I think its good now. I use mine at 50% most of the time anyway if I don't want to wait...
But, I think, just to be absolutely sure it will work, wait until 75% (The flasher won't work unless 75% is acheived in some versions of Pandora)

I'll let it get to 85% then. Just gonna take forever. Its the extra capacity battery. Do they even make extra capacity batteries for slim? I bought the fat battery for my pandora to work on the fat and slims but would still one day like to buy a high capicity slim battery.

The high-capacity battery for fat works in the slim, as do all batteries, but the slim battery cover wont fit on.

Yeah I would only go for a slim battery. I want it to fit right. I know they have covers to adjust the fat battery to the slim but I would rather just buy another slim battery as a backup rather than jack up the fung shway of the system. I don't beleive in fungin shway though...but I don't want a fat battery in a slim system...thats what she said...good lord I'm a geek.

For the record, it doesn't stick out that much, but, yes, it destroys the ergonomics of the system. It needs to feel flush, and the Slim isn't that slim if you pust some junk in the trunk.

Is there really a difference in how fast the battery will charge having it plugged into the the wall vs the usb charger? I mean..usb is 5 and so is the wall adpater. the amperage the same also? I guess If its not known for sure know I can put it to the test after I get done with the psp upgrade.

Charging via USB takes 5 hours as opposed to 2 hours 20 minutes as advertised from the wall adapter. USB charge is slower.

cool. Thank you for all your fast help by the way Leadbaron. Nice to have people like you around. Most people maybee even myself sometimes would just say "Do a search there are already 50 threads about this" But I have to come realize that this is just forums where people come to chat and help and if its easier for someone to start a thread to get quick hassle free help then thats the way to go. With 6 kids running around its easier for me to just ask a question and wait for an answer..matter of fact I don't here them back there anymore. gotta go.

Oh. Well, try flicking the switch on the PSP to turn it on? If that doesn't work, your out a battery, bud. You can just buy a pre-made Pandora for $40 called the Datel battery tool, I'll link you if your interested. It works as a Pandora battery and a normal one.

I just spend the only 40 bucks I can spend for the next few months. With 6 kids I had to put money back to get this one. This really freakin sucks. I did exactly what all the tutorials said and I get this. I swear I'm sick to my stomach. I hope wal-mart will take it back

You could try, I'm sure they would, the people who work returns there (in my region, anyway) aren't the brightest.

What sucks is I was supposed to order a battery and stick for 55 shipped and i decided today instead to buy a battery to hack. This really sucks. My mom sent me the money to order that so I can upgrade mine my two sons and my sisters and now I have nothing because I decided to do it myself. I mean I did just what I was supposed to just like the 50 freakin tutorials I have read. whats do you think could of went wrong? Why did removing the 5th pin like all the tutorials say kill my battery? from what I have read everywhere removing it was what you supposed to do!

Well, a number of things could have gone wrong. In a freak accident, you might have accidntally cut off some circuitry with your welding iron, or disconnected something you shouldn't have without meaning to. I can't really help much more from here, except advise that if you are unsure about anything, go for professional help. If I were in your shoes right now, I would return the battery, and buy a pre-made one.
If Wal-Mart doesn't take the battery back, ask them why not. Their return policy is no questions asked, even if it has been opened, so long as warranty is in place. Just make up a cock-and-bull story about hearing a crack of electricity or something and then it wouldnt work.

I'm done worrying. I placed my order for the battery and stick for 55 and I'm gonna super glue the battery back together and return it to walmart. I'm afraid they might ask why its scratched up. If they do I'm just gonna be like "No freakin doubt! I'm not buying anything from here again!" Out of all the wal-marts around somone will take it back. Thank you for your support. I have hacked around 50 xbox's without one screw up and almost the same in ps2's and I can't hack one dam battery lol!

Don't worry about it. A bettery is smaller than a console, much more delicate, easier to mess up with. Good luck and happy pirating ;)
