First, you can't play ISOs on 3.71. You need to downgrade using Pandora's Battery, which you can get HERE.

Once you downgrade, follow this mini-tutorial I made HERE.

Thanks a million for your help! I am still unable to play gmes, receiving the same error of corrupted data. Also, after downgrading i'm receiving the error 'this program only for standard psp' when selecting psp updtate version 1.50. Also, receiving error 'the game could not be started 80020148' when trying to load 3.52 M33UPDATE and the same on all ther apps. I have disconected the correct leg on my official psp battery and that powers up ok. System info is still showing as 3.71 M33. Am I doing something really retarded???

Yup. You need to choose 3.71 M33, not 3.52 or 1.50 as they aren't compatible with the Slim.

Are you sure you put them in GAME150 in your PSP?

They are in MS0/PSP/GAME150 - Changed Kernel to 150 and still no joy! Running firmware M33 3.71-2 if that makes a difference?

You didn't delete any folders did you? There should be two folders one with NAME% and the other one NAME. (name = name of homebrew obviously)

Not that i'm aware of. I have two folders in my GAME150 folder titled PIMPSTREAMER201SUB% and PIMPSTREAMER201SUB. Also have irshell150% and irsellh in there that seems to load fine. Many thanks for your time and help on this!

Nope, ISO's are fine and for some reason IRSHELL has always worked. Every other APP fails to launch with error 'game could not be started' Don't worry about it guys, cos I know stuff like this must really piss you off!! LOL I'll keep working at it like I did the ISO's. It's probably something really dumb

Still the same error. Do I need some application in order to make pimpstreamer and other homebrew apps work? To date i've done...

1. Created pandora battery
2. Created magic memory stick and successfully installed M33 3.71-2
3. Installed fastloader
4. Recovery mode - Kernel to 150 - UMD disabled
5. All apps i'm trying to use are in MS0:\PSP\GAME150 (with both required files)
6. ISO's are working fine

I don't care so much for ISO's, I like playing around with the apps (like IRSHELL and pimpstreamer) so if you guys have any ideas whatsoever, let me know. Thanks for your help again, dunno how you all do it cos i first looked at these forums friday, and i think i've seen the same posts 8 million times!!! Keep up the good work dudes

Try in Recovery Mode kernel 1.50 and try and if it doesn't work, try kernel 3.71 or whichever there and then try.

Also, No-UMD is just for using ISOs without the need of a UMD in the bay.

Of course, noone realises, he has a PSP Slim.. which is not homebrew compatible... think it over, on fat we can install the Add on 1.50 but you cant do it on the PSP Slim, so some of the applicaations will not work here... and addon is not able to install, I tell you that cause I have a friend with SLIM and he cant play some apps nor install addon.

PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS
Nintendo DS [+[__]%]: EZ Flash 5 Plus + 1GB MicroSD + EZFlash 3in1
Nintendo Wii: 3.2U + 1GB SD Card + WiiKey 1.9s

They can work if you use the eLoader 1.00 but you're right, we forgot.

Sorry usesurfer, your only hope is the eLoader 1.00 by Newbz.

No worries dudes, appreciate all the help! I installed eloader, which launches fine, but unable to launch any homebrews. It sees the file in the mneu list, but each reports same error 'couldn't open EBOOT.PBP'

Location of homebrew:
MSO:\PSP\GAME150\__SCE__Rhythm\eboot.pbp
MSO:\PSP\GAME150\PIMPSTREAMER201SUB

etc...

(both homebrew files are in the GAME150 folder)

So you guys think it's just a case of these apps wont work on a slim?

Yes, eLoader is just for some homebrew, especially old homebrew. That's the problem: because you have a Slim. I have a Slim too which can't play much homebrew but I didn't use homebrew on my FAT PSP much so I don't care.

Nice one man! Many thanks to you all for your help (especially BTFAN) I managed to get PIMPSTREAMER working without having to use the network setup (comes with two game files, 1. loads the app 2. loads the network setup...1 loads fine, 2 fails to launch) IRSHELL is also working sweet! Friday I had a box standard psp, now I got a pretty cool piece of kit and have learnt tons! Many thanks again guys for your help and for all the guides etc you have put out there (if only ppl would read em instead of asking you!! lol) I'll keep checking the posts and help out where I can

Ah.. that explain the error message "This program only for standard psp." that I was getting when I tried to install the 1.50 add-on on my PSP Slim 3.71 M33-4. According to Dark AleX's readme.txt within 150_addon.rar, it said:

- This program is only for PSP fat. The program will reject PSP slim, due to the 1.50 kernel not working on it.

I guess eLoader is the only viable option at this time.
