hey,

right ive researched this as much as i can...and it looks like id rather get someone else to doit for me as im not really up to it.

i know it voids my warranty...BUT i cant help but noticing ALOT f faulty xtreme xboxes on ebay, are xtreme xboxes more prone to break? whats the deal with it?

i just want to be able to play backups, and i have no problem paying someone to do it for me...but i really dont want this to die on me as i then have no warranty.

any thoughts on this?

You probably notice a lot of broken modded 360s on ebay, because once you mod it you void the warranty and MS won't fix it for free. Some have slipped through, but they are checking them harder now. Unmodded ones can get sent it for a replacement no problem.

If you buy a 360 off some one the knows what they are doing then the warranty won't be void

However if the 360 breaks and you want a refund, you will have to send it back to the dude you brought it off so he can remove the firmware

Then m$ will give you a new 1, then send that back to the dude so he can flash the firmware on the new 1

But anyways its like a 1 in 1,000 chance in getting a faulty 360

yeah but if i get my current 360 upgraded, then it breaks, and i get it 'Unflashed' wouldnt it still have No warranty because its been opened?

isnt there a sticker that stops you claiming on the warranty once the case as been opened?

thanks

yea some people heat the sticker up and peel it off, some people have actual stickers that they can just stick back on that they got from god knows were, but there are some on eBay. If your gonna pay someone to flash it for you then they should know how to with out voiding the warranty. But if your doing it yourself you gotta void it
