I've done a lot of searching on this forum and others but can't find the answer to this particular question. late last night my boyfriend inserted the guitar hero disk into the wii. however, it would not come up on the wii menu and it won't eject out of the system.

yet, when we put any of our other wii games in, they come up fine and we can play the other games with no problem. they also eject out of the system just fine.

i've looked for any manual eject buttons and powered the thing off, etc, but the first disk will not come out. has anyone else seen anything like this?

how can i get this first disk out? i would prefer not taking the thing apart, but will do that if need be.
thanks! lb

Was your BF drunk, stoned, suffering with solvent abuse or concussed and maybe didn't actually put the disk in?

Why would you even try putting another disk in if there was one in there already? I wouldn't dare if it was me... but the fact that the drive seems to work suggests there isn't a disk already stuck in :?

I have heard of this problem on the PS3 but not the Wii. I would try to shake it a little of you think it is defiantly in there. See if you can get it out of where ever it is stuck in. Most likely though I would guess you would have to disassemble it.

The solution to fix the PS3 issue was to insert a disc just a little but and when it when to pull it in pull it out and then it would pop the disc that was already in there back in place.

thanks to both for replying. i actually questioned the BF again after more consideration of his rendition of events. I mean, if the CD was in there how *could* another one play?

I then conducted a hard target search of the living room. and, wouldn't you know it, there was the game under the coffee table. i gave him hell :) he came up with some cocka-mam-ie story about how the wii spit the cd out when he wasn't looking and it must have rolled under the table. i just rolled my eyes.

but then tonight, it actually did just that. the wii sucked the cd in, kicked it out about halfway, sucked it back in and then spit it out.

hope this helps any other similarly concussed bfs!

tks for all the help. lb
