what to do once its downloaded?

I finally figured out how to download of irc which is great, but now I have files which say cd1 and cd2. Inside each is about fifty or sixty files with the ending .r00 to .r46, What do I do with these files? I cant figure out how to extract them or do anything with them, anyone with info please remember I am very stupid when it comes to things like this so please explain like you would to a little child, thanks for the help.

Whe you extracted them there should also have been a rar file with the other files. Simple if there is a rar file, install winrar and then open the rar file and simply drag whats inside it out onto your computer and it will begin extracting from each file.
If there isnt a .rar file, then extract by doing the same as i have said with the .r00 file!

OK now I am having major problems, I dont know if Im just retarded or if the program I downloaded has something wrong with it or what. Let me tell you whatI hve done so far. I got winrar, and then went to the file to see what I could do. I click on the main program and then its subdirectories are cd1 and cd2. I click on cd1 and it opens a golder with folders going from .r00 to .r46 it also has a file with just a .rar and a file with .sfv. all the files are the exact same size except for .r46 and .sfv so I double click the .rar file it takes me to a winrar menu. It shows two icons one called .bin this one is 730,029,048 I assume its in KB. The other icon is .cue and its only 71KB. When I extract them they just show up in the file as the same thing. The files .r30 to .46 are not the same icon as the others. The others are the three books icon while these ones are just the piece of paper icon. In cd2 file its the same except it goes to .r49 but I cant figure out how to install this program, what am I doing wrong. Thanks for any help.

Now you can either burn your .bin and .cue files using Nero or use a program like isobuster to extract the file you want (.mpg) from the .bin

Yup..
Start Nero..Go to burn image..Select the .cue file and burn..(bin & cue must be in the same directory)

Actually for bin/cue burning I wouldnt be recommending Nero in a hurry, I prefer Alcohol 120% to anything!

maybe u shouldn't be poking around on IRC if u don't know what ur doing. A guy's box could get rooted or worse! There r so many evil lil script kiddies who have nothing better to then destroy other folks stuff. Be careful man!Ur on the right track though .

regarding sith's comment....will it help if it's scanned with Norton before opening or extracting...cause i'ma IRCnewb and that's what i do....

nortons will help if whatever you got has a virus or trojan. but there are things on IRC that your antivirus cant touch. I totally agree with sithlordx's comment, if you dont know much about IRC then get a GOOD script, not that mIRC crap. Dont speak to anyone, Dont answer and PM's unless you are damn sure you know who it's from. dont fall for any of the $decode or nohack PM's you'll get saying you are infected and need to go fix it. -- just read all the stuff you can and for god's sake dont go in a channel and say that you are a noob and need help, if you cant figure a channel out, leave. IRC is no place for rookies at all. alot of networks and channels are fine with no risk at all, but if you stumble acrossed the wrong place at the wrong time, you'll seriously wish you wouldn't have.

i think i said in the guide that mIRC was a good place to start, but a good script would be good to get in the future. me personally, i like excursion and torment hellscript, but there are literally hundreds to choose from.
