AT&T has confirmed that a 3G version of the Apple iPhone will be hitting stores in 2008, but with no set month for release as of yet. "You'll have it next year," said CEO Randall Stephenson. bit of a kick in the balls for early adopters. you iPhone is now obsolete against the new 3G iPhone.

So true. Thats why they say never buy a item in its first year. Because they always make the next model better.

I thought the apple Iphone already was 3G enabled goes to show you what i know. If this is the case then i would not touch it until they get it out to the public with all the bugs worked out.

Not necessarily. It depends on the user's needs. Besides, EDGE technology is still more widely available than 3G. I wouldn't mind having 3G on my iPhone, but EDGE works fine for most of my needs.
