I am new at this whole mod your xbox thing and read that you can copy games directly to your HDD . I read all the posts i could find but could not figure out what to do or how to do it. Also what programs do i need. Also once the game is copied to the HDD do you need something to play it or like and xbox live arcade game can you play it off the HDD.

Can't comment on the 360 but you can put xbox games on the hdd so long as you have a modchip you also have the option to use an extender kit which alows you to add 2 additional drives,as for soft modding i don't know if it will allow you to add or play games directly from the hdd as i've never bothered to look into it,my two old xbox 1's are being chipped as we speak with the smartxx3 i'll fit the extenders later when i've got more pinga's (money..lol..) for the extra hdd's,however if you want to go live you'd need to be able to turn the chip off i would assume not sure what you'd do about the hardware detection when live asks for your hdd serial etc,there's quite a number of posts regarding your question they're all over the site & the net.
