which PCI card to buy for hitcahi drives???

hi,

i need a PCI card that will definitely work with all Hitachi drive (obviously not 79)

i knoe the 6124A is whats reccomended but some people have said thats not worked. are there alternatives?

also, is a cheap one as good as a mid-range one?

its £14...is this jsut because hes re-selling them or is there any reason why i should get the more expensive 6421A card?

wmy computer is a intel dual core proxessor and a foxcomm motherboard if that makes a diference?

I use a VIA VT6421a for Hitachi 78's and all other drives.
I use a SIL 3112a for only Hitachi's below the 78.

if you look there, thats a SIl one but it doesnt have an 'A' on the end...will that still work?

ive read that the RAID thign matter...that saysd it has RAID...does that matter? can i jsut disable it in any way?

That card will work for all Hitachi's below the 0078 model.

The raid didn't matter to me, still worked with Slax

ive jsut checked and my drive is a 78fk.

will ANY Via6421A PCI card do?

there are some on ebay that are ALOT cheaper than others.

does that look like the right one?
are there any special PC requiremnts or things my PC CANNOT be to run this?
