Hi guys,
New to Xbox360 (or any consol come to thnk of it) here is my possible dilema:
all i have in my room is my Media Centre PC, my Sony davsc8 Surround sound dvd system (with Toslink optical input, nice)and my Samsung SM2232BW 22" new monitor
now here is what i need your help with Before i try to set it up and possibly cause some damage!?!

The monitor has a DVI-D dual link input and a VGA Input. My PC is attached to monitor via the DVI-D route (using a DVI-D DL cable), Can i connect the XBOX to the monitor using the VGA connector (i have purchased the VGA lead, i will be using the toslink to channel sound thru my surround system)
if i do connect it this way to the monitor
A: Will it work? (having two differing sources attached to two inputs)
B: Does the pc need to be switched off, when xbox is on & vice-versa ?
C: What would happen if both PC and XBOX were turned on, would it split screen???
D: any other issues that anyone can think of??????????

Hi there...heres some answers to your questions-

A- yes it will work fine- all you need to do is select which device you want your monitor to accept input from (pc or 360)

B- No both can be on at the same time

C- Only one would be shown (the one you have select for input)

D- selecting the input should be easy enough (a button on the monitor should allow you to change settings e.g. contrast rgb color etc)
