We've got our 9YO a 360 for Xmas, and he's mentioned playing backup games, which he has access to. He also knows I am handy with my PC.
I'm in Australia, and don't know what drive, or anything else for that matter about a 360. I've read for ages, but it's all foreign to me. So...could someone point me to what I would have to do to "flash" the drive, or whatever else I may need to do to get the thing to do what he wants, in the most easiest, simplest and less time consuming way. He only wants to play backups and nothing else.
I'm sorry, but I really know NOTHING, and have got a bloody headache from reading.
Jackal, not to be rude, but just look at the stickies or the search bar or just google it and you will find all the info, instead of wanting someone to type it all just for you. We all had to learn this stuff on our own and it required a ton of reading. Check out www.360mods.net too.

Thanks Stan. It's just that there are so many different ways to do these things so I've found, and I'm after the simplest way for me. I don't have a lot of time to read everthing, and with a 9YO on my back............I guess I'll have to make time.
Hey Jackal, check www.360mods.net and www.xbox-scene.com and they have a ton of tutorials on it. Google it too man, because I did it once and found a really good video of it. It's complicated man unless you are a techie, you can really F it up, just look at the people with flashing problems here, they can totally F up their 360 easily. I paid $50 to get it modded, so much easier, sure they got people in Australia to help with it there. You won't know what type of drive you will have until you buy it. Good luck man, keep us posted, it's definitely kick ass man when you get it modded!!
