ok i searched and couldnt find my specific problem. my CD burner has recently started going bad. now its ruined! it had started giving me the odd bad burn. now ALL burns are bad even though nero6 said it was ok. so i uninstalled that one and installed my original nero 5.5... now that one says something about fixation not working.

Ive tried different CD-R's, i cleaned the lens. diffferent speeds. different versions of burnin software. the thing is it reads fine. just does bad burns. i can open the CD and see the file but it wont play. it just freezes up. is the burner screwed up or another problem?

Fixation Error.... Power Calibration Error... signs of the end for burners.
