I'm thinking about getting a Wii and was wondering Does the Wii have online capabilities?

depends on what you consider online capabilities. There just a handful of games that you can play with other people online and everything else is just internet browsing and game downloads (from older consoles like sega and all the older nintendo systems up to the n64)
