I just purchased this computer for my mother
Compaq Presario SR5210NX Desktop Computer With Intel® Celeron® Processor 420 from office depot. She is trying to use dvd fab hd decrypter and dvd shrink/nero to burn dvd's. It will show that the copying is complete on both programs and will play in windows media player but is not recognized in any dvd player. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi robc1042
What version of Nero is she using?
If she's using Nero8 that would be the problem. See this thread:
link

If that's not the case post the last Nero log. Here's a link on where they are located and how to post them - link

Thanks for the reply. I am not used to all the forum stuff but from the search I can see there is alot of rules. She is using nero 8. Is there any other software that would work with windows vista. Am I correct in reading that as long as you exit out of dvd shrink and use nero express that should be part of Nero 7. The dvd will play back fine in a stand alone dvd player. Thank you

yes exit shrink then use nero or like mentioned output as iso then use imgburn...

also depends on the dvdr used some play and some not, TY and i use Ritek GO5 are good disc media, disc media is very important aslo what are you useing and are they +R or -R, get dvd infopro or dvd identifier to tell us maker/dye info/codes...

@robc1042
Yes the problem is autoburning w/ Nero 8 when using Shrink. Using Express or Burning Rom to burn the files from Shrink will work - just not the autoburning part.
The other version of Nero do not have this problem.
