Ok lets say i buy something off of MS's Market Place. Um lets use halo as an example. Could i transfer all the data from my hard drive to the computer and load those files onto another hard drive and be able to play it. Beacuse it works with game saves i was just wondering if you could use market place stuff as well.

you can transfer to a new HDD, but it will only work on the original machine downloaded on w/o being signed into live on the account used to purchase.

all marketplace content is tied to the Xbox it was downloaded on as well as the account. so that being said, i would assume if u have a 20GB and buy the 120GB u could transfer the stuff like u said and still be able to access it, but as far as taking it and using it on another box, no.

the fact that it costs $ like a retail game.....

it's got something to do w/ the DRM they use for all DLC.

did i answer ur question or was i off base in my explanation?

summary: yes u can transfer it, but can't access it w/o being signed into live w/ original account on a different machine.

that i'm not really sure of, but i would assume that the gamesaves weren't worth the time of fitting w/ DRM?

i just know like even all my DLC i've gotten over the course of 4consoles don't work unless i'm signed into live since everything is tied to the consoles they were downloaded on (blows!)
