I have a US wii with a D2A chip and i am waiting to receive my WiiKey. Will i have any problems or have to worry about bricks playing normal US Wii games and US wii back ups. I see all these post about pal and Jap and what not and SMG not working. If i play any jap game it will be Naruto EX2. I dont download so i dont have to worry about wrong regions becuase my games will all be bought in america. I have firmware 3.1U. i just want to know if i made a mistake getting the WiiKey.
No, you haven't made a mistake getting the WiiKey it'll do the job perfectly.
You will not brick your Wii playing games from the same region as your Wii, Bricking or semi-bricking only ocurs when a Wii is updated from an disk from an different region than the Wii.
If you buy a Japanese import game in america it may brick your Wii, the best bet to avoid this is to keep your Wii up to date from the internet.
Firmware 3.x made it slightly more difficult to update/config your WiiKey, to get around this some smart people came up with two methods,

thank you very much for replying. the problem is, and i am sure you know, there are so many mixed info/reviews i don't know whats is real and what are people to stupid to follow directions. i guess i could spend hours sifting through the garbage but i rather try to get some one who knows what they are talking about.
