Try slightly loosening the two screws on the back behind the Analog.

tried that, i mean even if the faceplate is off, it still scrolls up, actually in a up-left direction, ive taken apart the analog stick itself and put it back together it still does it :(

Hmm.... this might not fix it but it could be worth a try... better than getting a new psp.
You can buy new analog sticks off ebay here
(this will last 6 days, any later than that, you might have to search "psp replacement parts" or something similar.)

Take it off the board and carefully remove the band that holds the back on. Carefully lift the back off, nothing is going to come shooting out, you just need to see it to put it back together. Its very simple. Without taking it apart further or setting it down center the two slides back on the point in the center. Replace the back cover. Befor you replace the retainer clip give it a SLIGHT bend so it holds inward pressure and snap it back on. I did this just the other day. It happens from pushing down to hard. Easy fix. Good luck, adown
