so i semi-bricked my wii with guitar hero III pal... i have a ntsc-u and so i got smg ntsc-u and it updated... it didnt unbrick... couldnt run the game... game said.. device was blocked...

just out of curiosity why would u get a pal game that is avaliable in the US. I meen its been pretty clearly sated to avoid bricks only use games of your region. the best advice would be to wait until nintendo releases its next firmware
