Help Booting The Rumble Fish Swap Magic 3.6 Fliptop Fat PS2

I bought a copy of the Rumble fish from Japan so this is an actual ps2 game and not a rip.

I tried doing the standard swap magic dvd boot and im left with a black screen
I tried refreshing the TOC with Devil May Cry and then I reinserted the Rumble fish and the ps2 kicked me back to the menu that says not a valid ps2 disc.

Now this is the first time that Ive even had to refresh the TOC because all my other games work.

I dont think my laser is damaged because all my American games will work and my other imports (KoF XI, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, Garou Mark of the Wolves, Last Blade 1 & 2, Arcana Hearts, & Melty Blood)

What do I do?
