I live in the U.S. and don't really know many small vendors to buy DVD-R's from, so I usually go to the bigger one's such as Best Buy and Circuit City. Last time I bought a 25 pack of TDK 2x DVD-R's for a reasonable price, and they worked fine. However, Best Buy is currently having a sale for 25 Memorex DVD-R's at a price of $29, which is the best deal I've seen here in the states. Should I load up on them, or 1.) are there better deals elsewhere? and 2.) do Memorex suck? I also have a Plextor PX-708A capable of burning at 8x, so 2x discs don't really do it justice. I'm frugal though, so unless I can find 4x discs at a reasonable price, I don't mind too much sticking with 2x discs. But brand, and places to find good deals?

They are 4x, and you could probably burn them @8x with your plextor...

I have purchased from Meritline.com in California. Also Rima.com has good prices. I buy Ritek which I have read are making the Memorex media.
