Ok I did a search and read a bunch of threads with no luck. I've backed up a few of my newer dvd's. I always test the dvd and when I put it in it jumps to a scene and plays a portion of it over and over. It won't let me go to the menu or anything. It's just plain wierd if you ask me. I have no idea how to fix it since the burning process seems to go perfectly. Anyone else have this issue and do you have a cure?

without you posting what movie it is my guess its the newer protection causing the problem which dvd shrink can't handle by its lonesome. heres you're choices below to backup the newer releases

freeware

1. dvdfab decrypter to rip dvd shrink to transcode(sometimes you will need to use FixVTS or VOB Blanker to clean the file before transcoding with dvd shrink) then nero, imgburn or dvd decrypter to burn.

2. ripit4me (not being used as much it got pulled by the man but still works)

have you changed your burner or updated it. i tried nero8 from nero6 and the results were very bad the film would just start from the end and just jump to a random chapter
