i am considering a wii now and i started looking around for info on a chip. If i buy a new wii, is the best/easiest chip to install the d2ckey? Or is there another chip out there i can use on the newer wii's? thanks!

assuming the new wii is a DC2 chip then only the DC2key is available.

Ok. Is there any other solutions coming out? I know with the 30 wire install, it wont be too easy but i saw info for the flexPCB which should help that. Is any other chip being worked on to release in the near future? Thanks!

There's the Infectus chip with only 13 wires. Problem is they are all in the IC right next to each other so it's not that much easier.

I doubt it very much. 13 wires is not really that bad but if you ain't any good with a soldering iron then buy a pre-modded one and save yourself the angst.

Well, i was just wondering if there was an easier solution in the near future. I have modded regular xbox's before by soldering so I probably wouldnt do too bad for the wii's, but thanks for the input!
