Hi Listren,
I wonder, can any one help me at all?

I have an interesting problem:
Each time I open an office program i.e.
Frontpage, Access & Excel the Windows Installer and Configuration/Installer applet runs.

With Excel it also runs and I get a further error messsage:
"one of your object libraries (stdole32.tlb) is missing or damaged please run set up to install it."

My Office Suite is Microsoft Office Professional 2003.
Installed programs:
Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher & Word
Frontpage is part of the Office 2002 XP Professional Suite.
Fontpage was installed prior to Office 2003 and they both co-existed on my note book till I tried to install Office 2007
When I installed Office 2007 I was hit with the Windows Installer and
Configuration/Installer applet runnning when I tried to open any of the installed programs:
Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher & Word

When I opened Excel I also got a further error messsage:
"one of your object libraries (stdole32.tlb) is missing or damaged please run set up to install it."

This was the start of my problems!
So I tried re-installing/repairing/un-installing Office 2007.

I then tried system restore.
I then re-installed my copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2003
Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher & Word I still got the Windows
Installer and Configuration/Installer applet running when I opened any office program though.

I found a fix for Powerpoint, Publisher and Word:
By running the following command (by pressing the Windows Key+R or typing it into the Start/Run command box):
"reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Options /v/
NoReReg /t REG_DWORD /d 1" (without quotes).

I still cannot get Access, or Excel 2003 or Frontpage 2002 to play ball, they still have Windows Installer and Configuration/Installer applet running each time I open them.

Excel still has the "stdole32.tlb" too!

With Frontpage its worse the Windows Installer and Configuration/Installer applet runs each time you want to edit page or create a new page.

Its driving me nuts!

When searching on the net, lots of people are having these problems!
Its ridiculous, M$ apps should co-exist on M$ Operating Systems!
I wish I never tried to install Office 2007 its really messed up my system!

Can any one help me at all?
