Psp fw 4.00 To Be Released Soon!!

was surfing the net and i found a page saying 4.00 firmware is going to be released!!!
heres wat it said:
"After talking to some psp people who work closely with team C+D and DAX i have heard that the PSP Firmware 4.00 may be coming out shortly.
This is yet to be confirmed but all eyes are open to see if it is true or not."
on page THREE from the orginal thread someone also posted what the new features are(but doubt it, wish the features are real) here they are below:

· PLAYSTATION 3 Network titles can be played under PSP [Remote Play] under Game. The PSP is then used as a monitor for any game playable in
Playstation 3 game console.
Network:
· Real, Quicktime, and WMV audio and video codecs are now supported.
· [Shockwave Player]has been added as a feature.
· PSP web browser has been updated to allow compatibility with current websites.
· [Adobe Flash Player 9] has been added as a feature, using the Memory Stick Pro Duo as flash memory.
· [Remote Play] has been improved by the PS3 outputting 1080p to the PSP with larger icons text and better video quality. Remote Play now transmits at 11 mbps per sec.
· 802.11g support has been added as a feature.
· PSOne games can now be downloaded without a PS3
· Level 6 has been added to rate in Sony LocationFree Player to improve picture quality in H.264
· [Auto Connect] has been added as a feature
Music:
· More visuals has been added as a feature.
Video:
· Real, QuickTime, and WMV audio and video codecs are now supported.
· RSS [Video Streaming] has been added as a feature.
· [Color Configuration] has been added as a feature.
· Recording has been added as a feature under Audio and Video RSS Streaming.

Not to burst your bubble but do you know how easy it is to change what the firmware update version title is? When you open the EBOOT in wordpad, you simply change all of the version numbers to whatever you want it to be and save the document. That would so awsome if it really does have all of those features. That would possibly make me give up homebrew if DA doesnt make a 4.00 CFW.

Whos to say DaX won't? I mean he could hand over the name/website to somebody as capable as him and nobody would know...ANYWAY, I think this is too far off to even consider. Too many what if's in question. Soon, doubt it. In the near future, probably.

I mean since he said that he wasn't planning on staying in the PSP scene to much longer, he may quit before this FW gets released. That would suck.

He'll stick around. No doubt about it, 2 days after it is released well have 4.00 M33

I agree Baron! The only reason new CFW have not come out is because there weren't any drastic changes since 3.71.

Exactly. If you check http://pspupdates.qj.net that's what was in one of the articles. Dark_AleX said there would not be a 3.72 or 3.73 M33 because there aren't any critical changes yet. Hopefully he will make a 4.00 M33, personally I think he will. Some how I doubt that feature list is real, hopefully the real list will look something like that because that would be awesome. It would be great if they made support for WMV and AVI on PS3 also!

There will be a FW with this feature coming out on January 2008:
-Go! Messenger
An official Messenger for PSP
These other features i have no idea when it's gonna come out:
-Go! Explore
GPS Map Navi???
-Go! Download
Maybe some download stuff website for PSP???

I don't think that Sony will create another firmware so soon. But lets hope it's real - each big firmware that are released always has cool new features. For example, 3.71 was a good improvement. I hope this "4.00" will come out as good as it can be...

Duh...PSP can only display and output 480i I think...
470x272....16:9....2.5 inch diagonal....

flash player 9 and improved internet browser. that's all i needed to see.
if this does come out, hopefully m33 will be on it.

Ok...11 MB/s wifi data transfer? Not on your life. If the PSP were a micro-supercomputer, then maybe, but I dont think either model of PSP can take in that much data, as some desktops with wires don't even take data that fast XD

yea, there are some features mentioned here that i would like, but unfortunately, i dont see many (if any) of them coming from anyone other than a hacker
