How can I update without connet to the XBOX LIVE?
where can i downloaded the update and burn him?

theres already another thread for this same questions, please read before you post. anyways, any torrent site has the update, burn to a cd, and instal that way.

How to update your xbox360 with out the need of going on live
1.) download and unrar this file : http://tinyurl.com/2plbwq , http://tinyurl.com/26mxwn
2.) you will need a USB pen drive , CDR , DVDR
3.) copy $SystemUpdate and place on the ROOT of the device / disc , inside that folder place su20076000_00000000
4.) USB - place the usb in the front of the xbox 360 and turn the power on , the unit will come on and then ask for a update
DISC - turn the system on eject the dvd rom place the cd or dvd in the dvd rom and turn off the system. power cycle the
unit and once started it will ask u if you want to update.
How can i get the DIVX CODEC on my xbox 360
1.) you need a device to connect your xbox 360 hard drive to the computer
2.) download this file : http://tinyurl.com/35vh2r
3.) open your xbox 360 hard drive
4.) go to Partition 3\Content\0000000000000000\FFFE07DF\00000002
5.) place the unrared file you downloaded in there

^^ xbox.com site has the old update the new one is posted on the top
there is no way for you to get the DIVX codec on the 360 without having some device
for the xbox 360 hard drive.

I know this guide when i put the disc the xbox showes "mixed data disc" or something like it...what can i do?

just hook the xbox to live and make sure no copy is in the drive

Neptune, i've tried your way & the xbox.com's way & i still can't get my xbox to read the disc. It keeps on saying "Mixed Media Disc". I have a modded 360 that has never gone on Live. I don't want to take the risk & go on Live just for the update.
Mixed Media Disc has caused me to lose 4 cd's already. Help.

hahaha 4 cds...thats like what 20 cents maybe now-a-days???? and why dont you just put the update on a USB memory stick, that would keep you from using cds as neptune said.

i think there's a low risk of getting banned going on live without any game disc in the drive. i went on with ixtreme 1.2 to get the update and had no issues.

what are you afraid of about going online, the worst that could happen is you will be banned from live. but if you dont play on live does it matter? log on and get the update if you want it that bad, if you get banned, so what, you dont play on live so all you can do is play local,or dont go online to get the update and only play local, either way your going to play local.
I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

i tried cds and ive tried usb pen. my xbox is banned from live so i cant go online at all for it.
when the guide says n the root of the device does that mean just put onto the drive or do i need to do somethign else?

After reading it up, there i sno way to get DivX codec on banned consoles. Period

That is correct. Divx is a separate download and can only be done via LIVE.
This is because MS can not distribute Divx for free. It costs them so obviously they're not going to lump it in to another update. They want to track who actually uses it and pay accordingly.

From my point of view DivX should be happy and be paying Microsoft for having their codec used. The first DVD players with DivX were all crappy chinese branded no namers, and now DivX is charging MS for their codec?
