Few questions to see if I have the general idea. Forum answered a lot but couldn't seem to find these. I have P-4, 768 RAM,2HD's @80GB ea.,XP home, Phillips combo DVD (actually a NEC) Nero 6 Ultra, ImgTool,& IfoEdit 1.1.0., DVD Shrink,TMPGEnc Plus. Questions
1) Encode ripped DVD with TMPGEnc sometimes can't adjust ave. audio bitrate to make file in 95% to 97% range does this really matter as can't I use DVD Shrink to make file fit on 1 DVD? or must I cut original? 2)IfoEdit is not supposed to work well in XP
or will it? It worked once for me but next time I ended up with no audio, video fine.
3)DVD Shrink does this need authorized files to run and do I just burn the end product of this with ImgTool? Thanks for your help I'm sure I will have more later.TK

trrkod, You can use dvdshrink to do most of the process. It decrypts, rips, and shrinks dvd movie to fit dvd r media. You can also use the re-author part of it to remove items you don't want. Use dvdshrink version 3.0. Shrink will rip file to HD, then I use Nero express dvd video section to burn back to blank. Shrinks compression bar is at top right. As you remove items the compression gets less and your video will be better. Jerry
