Hi,
I read a lot of forum posts, and based on that I think that the biggest dager against my Wii is the usgae of a wrong region game.
I want to avoid that in all costs. But I dont trust the filenames, of the torrents. I think it is possible to have a NON PAL region iso still with the name of PAL. So I am checkig all isos with Brickblocker and Regionfrii, to make sure that they are from the given region. BUT!

Can I trust these programs? Is it possible to have a manipulated iso, which recognised by them as PAL for example, and still non PAL?

One more thing. I bougth a new wii with D2ckey fitted. I can not open the case to check what is inside. BUT

This page claims that I have a D2B chip based on my serial number!
Maybe someone sold me a wiikey installed D2B machine for a D2Ckey price?

To identify the region of an image, use Wiibrickblocker. There is a link under RESOURCES in this thread.

To find out which chip you have you can try

1) to open you Wii and take a peek

2) run the 1.9g update for the wiikey. If the update installs then you have the Wiikey.
