I was wondering if it illegel living in the us to order and retain ownership of a swap magic and flip top mod for the playstation 2 and if so is it a good idea to order from modchip.ca? or where else shoud i order it useing a m.o.

It's not illegal to have swap magic. It's illegal to burn games that aren't your own, then keep and play or sell them.

a modchip allows you to bypass any protection on the system. what the gaming companies want you to do is spend money on the region specific console and games. they are losing money because people are downloading and copying games with readily available products.

people still get modchips, even after the raids. why? because it's their system, and they have the right to do whatever to it. why can't the law, drm and dmca get that? if they want to stop piracy, then take away all computers. but they can't, because this is the technology generation, and practically everyone is reliant on computers.
