Lo all

ive got a kreon drive (off ebay, came pre-installed) works fine but came with ver 0.81, is there a higher fw or update, i cant find much info on this.

and should i upgrade?

There is a kreon 1.0, not sure the benefits over ours. I just know mine does fine ripping originals so if it's not broken, don't fix as they say. Was drfrankq ur seller?

I have ripped copies of some of my newer games like Mass Effect and COD4 with my SH-D163A drive still running the original 0.81 firmware and it worked just fine. Not sure of any benefits the new firmware would give you but i agree with StanLane on this. If it works fine then there is no reason to mess with it.
