Swap magic 3.8 wont work!

i just recently got Magic Keys II and swap magic 3.8 together from modchip.com. i successfully installed the magic keys parts but now I'm unable to run any of my ps2 backups with swapmagic 3.8. i used alcohol 120% to copy the image off of my GTA vice city disc, then used it to burn it to a DVD-R disc. i had also tried a DVD+R but i read somewhere that those dont work. if i could have my way though, i would really like to boot the games off of my USB flash drive. i have a U3 cruzer micro, i uninstalled the U3 software off of it so that its just a normal flash drive. i tried to follow one of the instructions on using USB extreme to format it and so forth but when i run USB extreme it doesnt give me the option of formating the flash drive, just my regualr harddrive. can someone please help me? i dont want to have wasted my money on this. thanks!

What version PS2 do you have and try burning for backups with Dvd Decrypter..theres a tutorial somewhere on this forum. And also make sure you burn the disc as 4x or else you'll encounter some problems.

Does the disks even load? and did you try both the Cd and Dvd version?

Yeah, the SCPH-79001 is the newest and probably the final version of the PS2 Slim. I bought it too, but I haven't opened the box yet. I was wondering, go0fman, do you know if the MagicKeys 2 fit inside the newest version of the PS2 Slim?

Oh, and I read that you can't make a image and burn it. You must use the Copy function for a 1:1 copy.
