Hi, I want to run a macro on my laptop over night but I don't want my monitor to be on during that entire time. The screensaver will never come up because my macro is moving the mouse around and pressing keys on the keyboard. I've considered just shutting the lid but I fear that it will over heat if I do that. I've tried changing the brightness of the screen but I am unable to get it so that it completely blank. I've tried searching for some software programs that will turn off my monitor and only turn it on if a specific hotkey is hit but couldn't find one (I found one that wouldn't turn the monitor back on if the mouse was moved but would if any key was pressed).

Also I've already messed around with the power settings to see if I could set it so my monitor would go off/on only if I press a certain key(such as the power button) but there was no such option. I have considered hooking up an old desktop monitor to my laptop but I don't think it will turn my laptop monitor off. By the way I have an IBM lenovo thinkpad T60. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
