i have a 3.03oec psp, i am confused about the various updates and whether i shld down grade to 1.5 1st b4 upgrading... i REALLY appreciate some advice pls!

ehh is ure way a sure way? i'm very nub at this and am super afraid to brick my psp...a fren told me to down grade to 1.5 then go to 3.4---> 3.52m33 and finally 3.71m33-4... hmm any idea abt tt? and if i do actually upgrade...u noe where to get the updates?
