Here we go, a ScubaPete Double-post -
Well venom, what can we say, there are always those pple who flaunt the knowledge gained from time and experience. Won't it be frightening when sometime in the far flung future, the realization of your folly will come back to bite you in the a$$.
Memorex made tapes, good ones, NO strike that, GREAT ones BUT like Hewlett Packer, Memorex is using their "name recognition" to sell a product made by a well known manufacturer of crap. By doing so, it hopes pple like you will believe that because it bears their name it therefore must be exceptional, Well . . ., it's not, it is crap and will be crap until they decide to pay a reputable company to make their discs, then, it may well change.
BTW, TDK discs, until 6 or 8 months ago, held a very high spot on my recommendation list because it was made by MCC. Like too much today, things changed - they changed - they changed who manufactured their discs and guess what, TDK suck as much now as does Memorex. Because of their change, I went back to as many of my posts as I could find and edited out their name from those on the decent quality list. TDK changed from good to bad, perhaps Memorex may one day change but, as for now, they're still crap - facts are facts -

I have to agree with Pete about TDK media. I bought a ten pack a couple months ago for testing and was disappointed with the results. Compared with a year ago the DVD market is in a sorry state. It seems the majority of the industry is cutting corners to compete.

I read your post and I can understand where it was going to, but let me say this:
I wasn't trying to push them, I just made some comments about them and then it just turned into an all around joke. I really don't care about the overall experience that everyone has, because everyone KNOWS that TY is highly regarded here on aD.
And I don't want to sound rude, but if you checked on the "Memorex" thread and several others, you will see that we were all joking about me liking them and then it turned into petty insults between friends and I would have hoped that you would have done a more detailed search in ALL the forums where I was discussing them, because you seem to know what you are talking by reading the many post that you have provided here on aD.
I can understand your point, but in NO WAY whatsoever, would I have EVEN tried to push Memorex media to anyone. I have ALOT more respect for you and everyone else who has more knowledge about the whole dvd media overall.
So, in spite of your post, which I see what you are saying, I would like for you to know that in no way was I trying to convince anyone out there that they are the best. You say that it is going to come and bite me in the @ss how so? Because I jokingly refer to them as the best media, when in doubt EVERYONE knows that TY and all the others are the best. I cannot be held responsible for people who lack the common sense in order to make the appropriate decision in regards to the media. I did my own research and before coming to aD, I choose to stick with them, and until I feel that I am not getting the desired outcome that I am looking for when burning dvd's, I will stand by their product and couldn't care less how bad you say they are. When they go that bad, I will make a change. It just boggles the mind how people can take things so personally about media, it isn't that big of a deal, I mean it isn't like protecting a family or anything. This just goes to show that some people don't have a sense of humor. Even ScubaBud who (and I am still laughing about what he did to my pic) was involved in the whole discussion. This is the outcome, when people are too sensitive about this subject.
Personally, I could care less what anyone uses, just as long as people are getting the desired outcome with their project. I think you misunderstood the intentions regarding what we all have been engaged in the last week or so. I know what I said, but it was also a joke. Even, I have already stated that TY was great media to use. IF you would have seen these posts:

@Pete, the TDK thing is bad to hear, I thought they where good discs (CDs) so, I bought a 100-pack of them about a week ago lol.

It says February 28, 2004. I just recently started posting here, again. I have learned alot from the likes of Nephlim, ScubaPete, and others, here. It is a good place to learn and then pass off some of what you have learned, to others who are in the same place that you once were.
