Yea, i did the "write configfile to flash1". I held O, and it wrote the files, and then it said press any button to continue. But it's just not rebooting to 3.01. >_>

Yea man, I followed all the directions..You know what, I'm gonna download the 3.01 update from qj, and try that one. Because the one I'm using was linked to a tutorial I was reading. Who knows, maybe it was bad or something. :P

Try this link http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=44903

go down till you see "Newest" "Revision F" and download that.

I have a 2,71 ta-082 and i just follwed the directions and it came out perfect on the first try. I've tried other methods with no luck. this worked great.

I tried that tutorial dude, and sadly, I got the same result..o.O

Maybe I'm just not destined to use 3.01... :(

EDIT: Hey guys, after flashing the files in devhook, are there supposed to be files in the f1 folder in 301? Because I just checked, and there are folders, but no files. o.O Apparantly something is going wrong with the flash files thing..

skit- Try dumping your flash and copy your flash1 to ms0:/dh/301/f1/. That worked for me.

Aren't the flash1 files for 301 unique to fw 3.01? So wouldn't I need to dump the flash from the devhook or w/e?

And I have no clue how to dump flash1.

Ok, download the flash1 from here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YDKHD9PE

Extract f1.zip and then copy the folder "f1" to ms0:/dh/301. Then go back to DevHook and try install the configfile to flash1 again and it should work.

Do you guys think I should use 2.71 generic downgrader to reinstall a fresh 2.71 on my psp? I just don't know what else to do.

Wait, do you have a TA-082A motherboard on your PSP?

If not, you could downgrade and use the easy installer for 1.5.

Yea, I got ta-082. :/ So I'm just going to reflash 2.71, and then try this all again. If it doesn't work, than oh well. :P

But yea man, thanks for taking your time to help me out.

Hey! We've made a breakthrough! The screen with the "starting devhook ect" went on, but then the psp just shut off. So atleast now it doesn't freeze at that screen like it used to.

Yea, I put your f1 files in first, could it be that not all the configfiles are being installed?

EDIT: Yahoo!! I did nothing, all I did was try and start it up again, and it works. I am so happy. Thanks a ton man. Haha woo!

When did you follow my guide?

I fixed a little mistake in it last night. Check if the guide up there now is the same one you followed.

Also, did you install the configfile to flash1?

I used eternalis guide and it worked for me. I was on 2.71 SE-C and while it took awhile I managed to get NHL07 and MGS portable working. No luck on a ripped version of MOH:Heroes while the same rip worked on 2.71, go figure. One thing I can't seem to do is changing Iso's while tapping Home & the L button. Any suggestions?

Would reinstalling dev0.51 with the latest 3.02 solve my problem?
