How serious is the issue some have been having where they upgrade from 3.40 OEA to 3.71M33 and there exisiting game saves become corrupted or not loadable?...is this common or a rare occurence?

I have a lot to lose if thats the case....

and on a second note, if anyone knows why my downloaded game saves dont work, thatd help me out too!

You should back them up before you upgrade. Then I doubt there would be a problem.

In fact, I did it, I had no problem just make sure you back it up and then copy again after formatting your mem stick... good luck, saves work the same on any firmware!
