Hi all--
I am capturing 7 yr. old VHS-C tapes via a JVC HR-S9800U VCR, Datavideo TBC-1000, and a ADVD110 card, using WinDV. Captures in the past have been great, other tapes play fine in the VCR. I have tried turning off the on board TBC in the VCR, turning it on, taking the external TBC out, all combinations. In playing this same tape on a diffrent VCR, the tape rolls and there is some static, but not the same blurry distortion. I'm going to try to work on the video stabilizing tools the VCR has and see if that works. Any ideas??
