hi. my problem is that my frend had a ofw fat 3.72 psp. i used pandora battery tutorial and i downgraded it to 1.5. after that my friend wanted a cfw so i went on the net and i found a tutorial how to get to 3.71 m33. so first i went to 3.52 m33 then 3.71 m33. i found an update to 3.71 m33-3 and i upgraded it. i put an iso in the iso folder and went to memory stick under psp. the game was there and i pressed it and it booted with the psp screen. then it turned black and it said something like the game cannot be played. my psp is at 3.71 m33-3 and it can play isos but why cant this one? i didnt download any patches or anythin on my friends psp i just went to 3.71 m33 to 3.71 m33-3. thank you in advance.

you need to switch the iso driver. in the xmb menu, press select to bring up the vsh menu. switch the iso mode to sony np9660. exit and try the iso again.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

thanks cee43ja1 but i already found a way to make it work. in case if others have the same problem or are wondering how to fix it ill tell you. you go into recovery mode (turn it on holding down R) and go to configuration. from there go to umd mode (the 5th option) and you press X. it will change the mode to your firmware and then you quit recovery mode. now go back to your memory stick and play the game. most likely it will work. if it doesn't use the other method.
thanks.

to the other guy: don't try to be smart, only post if it will help someone.

VSH and Recovery menu are just 2 different ways to do it. Why the hell argue over how to do it when either or will get the job done.

As to the NO UMD drivers...

Sony NP9600 is the most compatible NO UMD driver out. Yes some of the other NO UMD drivers will work (on some games) but the most compatible is Sony NP9600.
