The only option you have is using a Pandora Battery and Magic Memory Stick.

Go HERE and follow this guide if you know someone or have a PSP that has custom firmware already installed on it (You need a PSP that has been modded with custom firmware to use this guide).

If you don't have access to an already modded PSP then you will need to use this guide HERE to make the Magic Memory Stick (Which can be created using an official sony PSP) and use a Datel Tool Battery or Hardmod the Battery to a Pandora Battery to get the custom firmware onto the PSP SLIM.

Did you use the above guide to make the Magic Memory Stick?

First off make sure the AC Adapter is NOT plugged into the PSP and make sure the Original Battery + Datel Tool Battery is out of the PSP.

You need to place the Magic Memory Stick (That you created via the guide linked above) into the PSP then put in the Datel Tool Battery. The menu should come up to select the install of 3.71 M33 to the SLIM PSP.

If the menu doesn't come up then you have created the Magic Memory Stick wrong and need to do it again.

So take out the Datel Tool Battery and replace it with the original battery. the PSP SLIM should then boot up. letting you try re-creating the Magic memory Stick again via menu above.

There should be no reason the PSP should be bricked if you have not yet used the Pandora battery + Magic memory Stick to install the custom firmware yet.

Many thanks for your patience, Yes I did use the guide to make magic memory stick, have done as you suggested with original battery can turn power on, but still no signs of life, other than green power light which stays on for 30 secs then goes off, thats it!

On the memory stick after formatting are the following folders and files
kd folder - full of prx files, backup elf
psp folder - has game folder in which 3 folders - despertar_cementerio - EBOOT.PBP,libpsardumper.prx,pspdecrypt.prx
pandora_battery - EBOOT.PBP
pandora_battery% - EBOOT.PBP

Seqence i used - Create magic memory card, charge datel battery and then followed the sequence

Result screen which appears to have black light? but no words, on left of psp, flying saucer flashes orange/green, then vibrating square icon below lights green, then nothing

hope you can help and your advice is much appreciated

Can you help please

Try doing a blind install of the custom firmware.

Put in the Magic memory Stick then put in the Pandora Battery.

The green Led light should come on then the Wifi/Memory Stick lights should flash a few seconds then stop.

After they stop flashing press the X button.

The Memory Stick light should start flashing and then eventually both the Wifi/Memory Stick lights will start flashing.

Let it do this till it stops completely. After it stops for a few go ahead and press the X button which the power led should then turn off.

Take the Datel Tool battery out of the PSP and replace it with the normal battery and try booting up the PSP.

Make sure you do not have the AC Adepter plugged into the PSP when doing these steps.

You can rename the PSP under System Settings and change the theme under THEME settings.

You should formate the Memory Stick so the new required folder directories are created.
