My burned DVDs have recently stopped playing on both my portable DVD player and another stand alone DVD player. I am aware that some players do not play them, but that is not the case here since these players have always played them just fine. I recently got a new computer but I reinstalled DVD Shrink and Nero and I believe the settings are the same as I had them on my old computer. What makes it even more confusing is that I have burned at around 10 DVDs on this new computer and they work just fine, and all the sudden when any DVD I burn is put into the players I have always used it either goes straight to some random point like the credits and I cannot access the menu at all. Does anyone have any ideas? I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Nero and DVD Shrink.

Hi sw01924
What version of Nero are you using? If Nero 8 then take a look at this thread - link.

If not Nero 8 post the Nero log.

Along with binkie7's question, a question i would pose is this: is the new pc equipped with Vista?

Yes Nero 7 will make a difference w/ this problem.

Here's 2 other options though:
Burn the video_ts folder that Shrink saved to your hard drive w/ Nero Burning Rom or Express. Use the DVD-Video option. Doing it in 2 steps (shrink saving to the hard drive then using Nero to burn) will work.

Or use ImgBurn instead to autoburn.
Download and save this .exe to the DVD Shrink folder. You'll know have ImgBurn listed as an option under select backup target. Link
